Driving Miss Daiseys

(DISCLAIMER: All ladies in this post are, in fact, younger, hipper, and all around cooler than the actual Miss Daisey)

Sooooo, this weekend was a work conference in Nashville, TN. In an attempt to cut costs, we rented several mini vans, packed up our volunteers, and headed for the Music City. Yes, i said minivan...and yes, I am one of those who swears she will never own a mini! It turns out that the highlight of the trip was the smooth ride in the mini van with my favorite group of volunteers from Camden. They were hilarious and wonderful. Although, I did have to bust out a Sheridan Kirksey move and start handing out strikes when they started sassing me! :) I am pretty sure that I learned more in those 10 hours in the van than I did the entire rest of the conference! They taught me about life, love, nuns, and butterbeans. Plus, they have made it their mission to find me a husband! During said conference, I was passed a note by one of the ladies..I opened it to find a description of a guy who was teaching her breakout session that included "CUTE!! and No wedding ring!!" I must say I was very excited, until I found out he was gay! It was hilarious, 1200 people and they picked out the gay guy for me!! I REALLY appreciated the effort though!

We finally made it through the weekend and headed for home...extremely hungry, I might add.

Let's just say the food was less than filling throughout the weekend. Anyway, we decided to stop at Lorette Lynn's Country Buffet. For those of you who know me well, you know that I don't do very well with germs, buffets, and dairy products. Well, Loretta Lynn's combined them all! :) Needless to say, baby girl was SICK the rest of the way home!!

Seriously, I love these women and can't wait for our next trip! Hopefully, the economy will be doing a little better and we can upgrade to the Suburban!

This is my trainer for the weekend, Rachael. She is hilarious and has great eyesight! ha. She told me not to put a picture of her up here..oops! :) I tried to tell her that everything you do or say around me these days is subject to blog!! 47,896 rooms in the Gaylord Opryland Convention Center and we were in the same one for 2 days! ha.

My favorite Camden peeps..Cindy, Linda, Betty, and Barbara!

And my favorite boss..Sherry! As you can see, i was not exaggerating about the being packed in tight!

Here she is..isn't she beautiful?!? THE KIA!!

The coal miner's daughter's cookin' was ROUGH on a stomach! :)
