For those of you that do not live in the South (where it is supposed to be warm and non-snowy) we have had the biggest snow in the Rock in like 20 years or something. We are now on our third day of staying home from work. The sun is out and thankfully it is all melting away!
So what do I do on LR snow days?? Apparently, I bake...Not very well. I have this picture in my head of Judy baking homemade chocolate chip cookies when we were kids. I remember everything about them..the smell in the kitchen, the fights over who got to lick the beaters, and the shape...they would melt perfectly out on the cookie sheet, flat, gooie, with only the chocolate chips sticking up. Everyday I think about how I am becoming my mother more and more..but the art of chocolate chip cookie making eludes me!
DANG YOU, LITTLE CAKIES!!! I cannot for the life of me, get these stupid cookies to come out right..they turn into cakesters!! They just don't taste right...sigh, maybe one day. Until then, I'll keep practicing and Keri will keep eating them with a smile claiming that he really likes the lil cakies.
