Other Duties as Assigned...

The four little words you never think about when you start a new job. On my first day (almost a year ago), my boss handed me a formal, typed job description detailing all the objectives that I were to accomplish this year. But today reminded me of one little line at the bottom of this document in smaller print and italics..it read, "Other duties as assigned". Those words never rang more true to me than today.....Introducing the Colossal Colon!!!! It is a 40 foot long, 4 foot high replica of the human colon infected with cancer. And my job?!?! Tour guide through it!!

Its too late for me comma however the lesson learned for all of you today is to go back to your "job description" and see if you can get a clarification from your boss on "other duties as assigned"! :)
